Los Corrales de Rota, located next to the Playa de la Luz hotel, has managed to renew two of its certifications, the ‘S’ for Tourist Sustainability and the ‘Q’ for Tourist Quality, after passing the audits carried out to certify compliance with the requirements demanded and which corroborate the sustainable management applied in this Natural Monument by the Association of Corraleros de Rota and the quality of the offer it provides to the visitor.
Awarded by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE), the two certifications mark the difference of this natural area of incalculable environmental, scenic and tourist value for the town, providing a distinctive high added value for the town, its environmental heritage and its tourist offer.
The delegate for the Environment, has indicated that the commitment and joint effort of the “Corrales de Rota” Association of Corraleros and Fishermen and the Rota Town Council to make compatible the traditional use and preservation of the natural, cultural and landscape values of the fishing corrals, as well as the promotion of these among the local population and visitors, is recognised by these two certificates.
