Transandalus
This route, created and designed altruistically by mountain biking enthusiasts, covers over 2,000 kilometres across the whole of Andalusia. Its circular format and its division by province make it the perfect itinerary to start in Cádiz.
The gentle terrain of the Bay, Chiclana, Conil and Barbate will give way to Tarifa, the Straits and Los Alcornocales, culminating in the Sierra de Grazalema. An unforgettable journey to admire the nature of Cádiz at its finest.
Greenways (Vías Verdes)
The Greenways are made up of former railway lines, restored and adapted for non-motorised vehicles. These routes are ideal for cycle tourism, especially for amateurs, due to their simplicity and the surrounding landscape. Without a doubt, a pleasurable activity for lovers of active tourism.
The Greenways you will find in the province of Cádiz are:
- De la Sierra: 36 km. Low difficulty. Passing through the towns of Olvera, Coripe, Puerto Serrano, Montellano and El Coronil.
- Entre Ríos: 16.20 km. Low difficulty. Passing through the towns of Rota, Chipiona and Sanlúcar.
- Puerto Real-San Fernando: 8 km. Low difficulty. Runs through the towns of Puerto Real and San Fernando.
- Matagorda: 3.6 km. Low difficulty. In the town of Puerto Real.
Natural Parks
Doñana – Sanlúcar de Barrameda – Bay of Cádiz
10,500 hectares covering the towns of San Fernando, Chiclana de la Frontera, Puerto Real, El Puerto de Santa María and Cádiz.
- Los Toruños Route. 5.2 km. Low difficulty. In the town of El Puerto de Santa María.
La Breña and Barbate Marshes
5,100 hectares between the towns of Barbate and Vejer.
- Barbate Marshes Route. 8.5 km. Low difficulty. In the towns of Vejer and Barbate.
Estrecho
19,000 hectares.
- Cerro del Tambor Route: 6.1 km. Low difficulty. Between the towns of Tarifa and Algeciras.
Los Alcornocales
168,000 hectares crossing the towns of Alcalá de Los Gazules, Algar, Algeciras, Arcos de la Frontera, Los Barrios, Benalup-Casas Viejas, Benaocaz, El Bosque, Castellar de la Frontera, Jerez de la Frontera, Jimena de la Frontera, Medina Sidonia, Prado del Rey, San José del Valle, Tarifa, Ubrique and Cortes de la Frontera.
- Travesía del Aljibe 10.5 km. Medium-high difficulty. In the towns of Alcalá de los Gazules and Cortes de la Frontera.
Grazalema
53,000 hectares between the towns of Algodonales, Benaocaz, El Bosque, El Gastor, Grazalema, Prado del Rey, Ubrique, Villaluenga del Rosario, Zahara de la Sierra, Benaoján, Cortes de la Frontera, Jimera de Líbar, Montejaque and Ronda.
- Llanos del Rabel Route: 6.1 km. Low difficulty. In the town of Grazalema.

Playa de la Luz – Chipiona – Sanlúcar
Cycling Friendly route starting from the Playa de la Luz hotel, taking us to the Chipiona lighthouse. A very gentle cycling stage with little elevation gain, perfect for enjoying the surroundings of Rota, passing first through Chipiona and then through Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

Playa de la Luz – Sierra de San Cristóbal
Ideal for enjoying on a Mountain Bike or even a Gravel bike. Greenways, secondary roads, dirt tracks… on this route starting from the Playa de la Luz hotel, which will take us to the Sierra de San Cristóbal. A combination of dirt and rolling terrain with no technical difficulties.

Playa de la Luz – Rota Greenway – Doñana
It will take us along the Entre Ríos greenway, from Rota, Chipiona, to Sanlúcar, where we will head towards the Doñana National Park before beginning the return leg of this cycling stage along the same path. The excellent location of the Playa de la Luz hotel allows us to enjoy this cycling route for mountain bikes or gravel bikes.

Playa de la Luz – Medina Sidonia
A cycling route without much elevation gain but with a long mileage. We will find a little more elevation on the climb to Medina Sidonia, the main destination of this cycling day, returning via Paterna and Torrecera to our hotel Playa de la Luz, which is Cycling Friendly.

Playa de la Luz – Jerez de la Frontera
On this Cycling Friendly route, we will pass near the Sierra de San Cristóbal, Lomopardo, Estella del Marqués, skirting Jerez de la Frontera, and via El Portal. A route with very little elevation gain.
