Local Tourism
The province of Cadiz is unique for the diversity of the tourist attractions, it combines the salt of its beaches with the green of its natural parks. If you are looking for nature, there are various parks which you should not miss: The Grazalema National Park, Alcornocales Natural Park and the Grazalema mountains with their Route of the White Villages.
You can see whales and many species of cetaceans in the Strait of Gibraltar as well as the numerous beaches along our coastline which you will fall in love with at first sight. The Andalusian style towns and villages with their typical whitewashed houses,including Grazalema, Arcos, Zahara and Vejer de la Frontera, offer visitors beautiful landscapes and are located only a few minutes from our hotels.
The local cuisine is rich in fish and seafood, influenced by the wines, brandies and vinegars produced in our land, including the infamous trademark Jerez (Sherry). This is in evidence in the typical bars and restaurants where you can follow the local healthy custom of going on a "tapas" crawl. A visit to the bodegas, or wineries to sample the authentic Vino de Jerez (sherry) is an absolute must. Enthusiasts can enjoy their favourite sports including golf, water sports and visit world famous equestrian schools, such as the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, all with the possibility of participating in their favourite activities in an outstanding natural environment with superb climate all year round.
Zoos, aquariums, water parks and theatres will satisfy the desires of even the smallest of children, whereas the rest of the family can sit back and enjoy the closeness amongst them. We can not forget culture. Cathedrals, Castles and archeological Museums as well as traditional fiestas such as the Fairs and the Carnival give this province an all year round popularity amongst visitors. Last, but by no means least, is the art of Flamenco with endless opportunities to attend courses and see live performances all year round.
The strategic location of the province, between two continents, mean you can sleep next to the ocean and go for a days sightseeing visit to Tangier (Morocco) or Gibraltar.
