Location
The Hotel Playa de la Luz is in Rota. This building, located on the north peak of the Bay of Cadiz, to the southeast of western Andalusia and bathed by the Atlantic Ocean has been home to many different cultures and civilisations such as the Tartesos, the Romans, the Arabs and the Christians. Rota also provides endless sporting possibilities, cultural activities and fiestas, such as Carnival (February), Holy Week (April), the Spring Fair (May), la Fiesta de la Urta (August) and the Patron Saint Festivities (October) and among its many wonderful monuments you can visit the Castillo de Luna (a 13th century castle), The church of Nuestra Señora de la O (16th century) and the remnants of a former convent, the Torre de la Merced tower (17th century).
