To the sound of the winter sea, Rota Piano Week (master classes and musical evenings) is inspired by the desire to combine music and landscape, in a formative project in which two concert pianists of recognized and long international trajectory will offer their experience and their knowledge to a group of high-level young pianists from all over the world.
In front of captivating natural landscapes, in a seductive and incomparable spot of the town of Rota (the Hotel Playa de la Luz, which will offer stay and logistics for musical workshops and concerts), pianists Michal Bialk (Poland) and Óscar Martín (Spain) will gather piano students from various countries such as Spain, Austria or China to receive master classes that will take place from February 26th to March 30th 2018. This week, and as part of the activity of the course, will be scheduled musical evenings open to the public that, every day at sunset, will be played by the participants selected by Bialk and Martin.
Rota Piano Week will open on February 26 with the concert of the pianist and participant Shi Yan, from Vienna (Austria), who will perform works by Beethoven, Bartok and Chopin. The closing concert, on March 3, will feature a selection of the most notable pianists, putting the finishing touch to a week of unrepeatable musical coexistence in a unique setting.
